President Erdoğan inaugurates Burhaniye Şehriban Hatun Mosque
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated Burhaniye Şehriban Hatun Mosque in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul after the Friday prayer.
Answering reporters’ questions during the opening ceremony, President Erdoğan, with reference to his forthcoming talks on the NATO summit’s margin, said that he will have bilateral meetings with numerous counterparts including the US, British, French, German, Latvian and Lithuanian leaders and that the Turkey-US relations would be addressed during the meeting with US President Joe Biden.
Noting that we will proceed to Azerbaijan after his meeting with US President Biden, President Erdoğan stated: “Afterwards, I will meet with my brother Ilham Aliyev in Shusha and we will sign an agreement between the two countries. This will be a comprehensive agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan.”
President Erdoğan added that he will also meet with President Emmanuel Macron of France on the sidelines of the NATO summit and that the bilateral relations between Turkey and France will be high on the agenda.
As regards his visit to Azerbaijan, President Erdoğan noted that the issue of Armenia will be one of the topics to be discussed during the visit and that he will call upon all the relevant parties to lend support for the resolution of the issue of mines in Karabakh.
