President Erdoğan inaugurates Tokat Airport
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the opening ceremony of Tokat Airport and other newly-completed projects in the city.
Describing the new Tokat Airport as a symbol of the future goals of the city, President Erdoğan wished that the new airport, which he underlined had an investment value of 1.2 billion liras, would lead to auspicious outcomes for all the passengers who would use it.
EXTRAORDINARY SUMMIT OF NATO HEADS OF STATE
Recalling that he was in Brussels the previous day for the Extraordinary Summit of NATO Heads of State and Government, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye’s stance was clearly conveyed both at the summit and bilateral talks with other participating leaders.
Touching upon the COVID-19 pandemic, which he noted shook the global balances, particularly in developed countries, President Erdoğan pointed out that currently 19 city hospitals served citizens in Türkiye, and said: “Before the economic shock triggered by the health crisis has been recovered, we have all witnessed how the crisis has deepened because of the Russia-Ukraine war. Just like Türkiye has coped with the pandemic thanks to its strong infrastructure, it will overcome the problem of the high cost of living, caused by the increase in the global energy and commodity prices, in a short span of time as well.”

Further stressing that the magnitude of Türkiye’s strength was seen by all both in the region and the world, President Erdoğan noted: “The security crises, humanitarian tragedies and dirty games which took place yesterday in the south and are taking place today in the north are each a lesson for all of us. Be assured that they worked hard, explored all avenues, used all the tools and committed every insidious act to put Türkiye in this situation. Thanks be to Allah, we have overcome all the crises and come to these days.”
President Erdoğan noted that the economic upheavals took place not only in Türkiye but all across the world, and that more difficulties were being encountered in all parts of the world, Europe in particular, and that Türkiye had turned this process into an opportunity.
