President Erdoğan: Istanbul is the heart of the world

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the celebrations of the 566th anniversary of Istanbul’s conquest at Eurasia Performance and Arts Center in Istanbul.

During his speech, President Erdoğan stressed the importance of Istanbul not only to Turkey, but also to the world. Describing the city as the apple of eyes of the world, he said: “Istanbul is the heart of the world. Serving Istanbul means serving not only Turkey but also the world.”
