President Erdoğan meets with Libyan Presidential Council Chairman Sarraj

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Chairman of the Presidential Council of Government of National Accord of Libya, Fayez Al Sarraj, at Vahdettin Mansion in Istanbul.

It was stated in the written statement issued after the meeting that bilateral relations and regional developments were addressed at the meeting.

President Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue to stand in full solidarity with Libya, and that it endeavors to strengthen the relations with the Government of National Accord, the sole legitimate representative of Libya.

Stressing that it is a welcome development that the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Turkey and Libya on the Delimitation of the Maritime Jurisdiction Areas has also been registered by the United Nations, President Erdoğan noted that Turkey stands ready to continue to provide any kind of support for Libya’s stability and the Libyan people’s welfare.
