President Erdoğan meets with teachers
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with 81 teachers from 81 provinces at a dinner at the Presidential Complex on the occasion of the Teachers’ Day.
Delivering remarks at the dinner, President Erdoğan said: “Welcome to the Presidential Complex, the home of the people, this veteran place. Through you, I would like to extend my greetings to our teachers serving abroad, at our Ministry of National Education, at our private schools, and at the schools affiliated with our Türkiye Maarif Foundation. I pray to Allah that the 24 November Teachers’ Day lead to auspicious outcomes for our teachers, our country and for our nation. On this meaningful day, I would like to express my gratitude to our teachers on behalf of myself and my nation.”
“VERY FEW PROFESSIONS LEAVE AS PROFOUND MARKS ON PEOPLE AS TEACHING DOES”
“Every profession is important, valuable and respectable in life,” President Erdoğan said. “However, very few professions leave as profound marks on people as teachership does. We all have a teacher who touched our lives, guided us, and held our hands through difficult times. Regardless of our status today, we all remember our teachers, who significantly contributed to us, with love and respect. Although it has been decades, we all remember our teachers with gratitude for approaching us with compassion, raising us with patience, and for guiding us.”
