President Erdoğan: Nowruz is the festival of brotherhood and affection

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during a campaign rally in the province of Kütahya in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.

Making remarks on the upcoming local elections, President Erdoğan pointed out that they have introduced 14 billion Turkish liras’ worth of investments and services in Kütahya over the past 17 years in various areas including education, healthcare, sports and transportation.

Also touching upon the March 21 International Nowruz Day, President Erdoğan celebrated the Turkish people’s Nowruz Day, and voiced his hope that Nowruz, which is celebrated across a wide geography, from the Central Asia to the Balkans, will lead to auspicious results for all humanity.

President Erdoğan went on to say: “Nowruz is the festival of fertility, prosperity and of spring. Nowruz is the festival of brotherhood, affection and of the hopes that flourish in hearts.” The President further stressed that it is of critical importance that Nowruz be celebrated in accordance with the values it represents.
