President Erdoğan on social media and TV joint broadcast

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made remarks and answered questions on current issues in an interview broadcast live on social media and television.
Asked about the latest developments in Syria, President Erdoğan said there are still some Syrians who will return to Afrin from Turkey, and that once Manbij is cleared of terrorist organizations, those who have fled there will also return to their own lands. Also touching upon the latest situation in Idlib, President Erdoğan, pointing to his talk with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, said: “As you know, there are 12 observation posts. There has been some harassment fire to these posts. As a result of our talks with Mr. Putin, ceasefire has been agreed there, and the parties have started to abide by it.” President Erdoğan further stressed that their sole intention is to put an end to the conflicts therein, underscoring that the number of the people who will return to Syria will increase once the area referred to as the terror corridor has been made secure.
