President Erdoğan: Our fight against plots aimed at putting shackles on our nation is of historic importance

 

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at a meeting in Antalya held to introduce the mayoral candidates of Party for Antalya and its districts.

“I wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the natural disaster that took place in Antalya. And I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Our relevant ministries, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and other institutions are closely monitoring the situation. According to the initial reports, the disaster caused approximately TL100 million in damage. The necessary work is being conducted to compensate for the damages,” President Erdoğan said.

“ANTALYA IS A TRUE WORLD CITY”

“Antalya is a true world city and 12.5 million tourists who visited the city last year prove that,” President Erdoğan said.

Recalling that TL40 billion has been invested in Antalya in the last 16 years, President Erdoğan elaborated that the investments include new schools, universities, dormitories, a football stadium, sports halls, youth centers, football fields, parks, hospitals, residential units, divided roads, dams and ponds.

Noting that Turkey has grown by 3.5 times in the last 16 years, President Erdoğan underscored: “We have served all our cities, all our citizens in an equal way and with the same love.”

“We have stood against all powers of tutelage, terrorist organizations and putschists, attacking Turkey’s freedoms and future,” President Erdoğan underlined. “Our fight in the last 5-6 years against plots aimed at blocking our nation’s path and at putting shackles on our nation is of historic importance. Today, we keep fighting both inside and outside our borders.”
