President Erdoğan: Our nation will overcome this predicament
President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed mayors via videoconference from Huber Villa in Istanbul.
“We have put into effect the decisions taken in line with the Science Board’s recommendations. Efforts are being made in accordance with Turkey’s realities and needs. There are nearly 1 million cases globally and approximately 50 thousand deaths. Turkey is doing rather well compared to other countries but we do not think that is enough,” President Erdoğan said.
“We determinedly continue our fight with wise, balanced and realistic steps and without any panic. With Allah’s permission, Turkey has the power and capacity to defeat the coronavirus outbreak. Our nation will overcome this predicament as we did in the face of other problems before, and soon reach bright, prosperous and peaceful days,” President Erdoğan noted.
“Our nation’s greatest strength is our unity and solidarity,” President Erdoğan underscored. “We are all fighting against an insidious enemy that is threatening our homeland’s future and our nation’s life. The name of that enemy is coronavirus. Only if we stick together, we can defeat that enemy. Only if we act with solidarity, we can overcome this threat.”
