President Erdoğan performs Friday prayer in Istanbul

In remarks following the prayer, President Erdoğan drew attention to Turkey’s ongoing endeavor both in Libya and Syria. On the meeting he had with President Vladimir Putin of Russia yesterday, President Erdoğan said: “We had martyrs. We finally sat down and agreed upon the declaration of a ceasefire as of midnight yesterday. We hope this holds and therefore such a war between a Muslim and another Muslim comes to an end.”
