President Erdoğan performs Friday prayer in Istanbul

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performed Friday prayer at Grand Çamlıca Mosque in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan answered reporters’ questions following the prayer.

As regards his health following the COVID-19, President Erdoğan stated that he had tested negative in a short period of time spanning only four or five days and had recovered quite easily thanks to the vaccine. Noting that he wanted to get reunited with citizens on the occasion of the Friday prayer, President Erdoğan added that he would be visiting the United Arab Emirates on Monday.

As regards his quarantine period, President Erdoğan stated that he had closely followed domestic and global developments including the Russia-Ukraine crisis, Libya and Azerbaijan as well as Europe and the U.S.
