President Erdoğan performs Friday prayer in Istanbul

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performed Friday prayer at Hz. Ali Mosque in Istanbul’s Üsküdar district.

The President answered reporters’ questions following the prayer.

In answer to a question about the grain export deal and the exchange of war prisoners between Russia and Ukraine conducted with Türkiye’s mediation, President Erdoğan said that over 4 million tons of grains have been delivered thus far through the grain corridor established as part of the deal.

As regards the exchange of war prisoners mediated by Türkiye between Russia and Ukraine, President Erdoğan noted that Ankara meticulously maintains the process and that 200 individuals are currently being hosted in Türkiye as per the deal.
