President Erdoğan: Plan aims at annexation of occupied Palestine territories

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told a meeting of provincial heads of his ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party in the capital Ankara.

On the U.S. plan regarding Palestine and Israel, President Erdoğan underlined that no amount of blood or property is enough to satisfy oppressors, and said: “Likewise, Israel has an insatiable appetite. Lastly, it is working, with the U.S. administration’s support, to put into action a plan which amounts to annexation of both Al-Quds and the lands under occupation coveted by Israel.” Reiterating that the plan is aimed at annexing the Palestinian lands under occupation, President Erdoğan stated: “As Turkey, we will never accept this plan, which in appearance foresees a two-state solution but in fact erases Palestine and usurps Al-Quds.”

“NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO FORCE TURKEY TO ACCEPT THE REGIME’S OPPRESSION IN SYRIA”

“The operations Euphrates Shield, Olive Branch and Peace Spring we have carried out starting from 2016 are the most visible examples of our determination to take the situation on the ground under control effectively if our concerns are disregarded,” underscored President Erdoğan, and continued: “We will have no other choice but to resort to the same measure in Idlib unless the situation there is normalized swiftly. We are approaching a similar crossroads in the area of Operation Peace Spring where the promises given to us are not being honored.  No one has the right to put Turkey in the grip of the separatist organization or to force it to accept the regime’s oppression. We will never allow the separatist terrorist organization, regardless of the name it assumes, to dig up a bottomless pit of sedition and treason for our region in Syria.”

“TURKEY SIDES WITH THE PEOPLE IN SYRIA AND WITH THE LEGITIMATE GOVERNMENT IN LIBYA”

“We display the same principled stance in Libya as well. Turkey sides with the people in Syria and with the legitimate government in Libya,” stressed the President, and added: “Never will we avoid the responsibilities our 500-year-old shared history entails. Those taking sides with a putschist in Libya instead of the people and the legitimate government are betraying democracy in the first place. The putschist general has shown his true colors by turning over the table on every occasion despite the constructive stance displayed in Moscow and Berlin by the legitimate government of Libya.”
