President Erdoğan, PM Meloni of Italy talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of Italy.

The call addressed the latest developments in Syria as well as regional and global issues. 

Stressing the importance of preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and achieving stability, President Erdoğan stated that recent developments have shown how felicitous Türkiye’s humanitarian and conscientious policy is, that Türkiye continues to support peace, freedom, dialogue, and justice in Syria.

President Erdoğan also noted that Israeli aggression has recently surfaced in Syria, that such an attitude does not contribute to Syria’s stability, and that Syria must be cleared of terrorist elements.
