President Erdoğan presented with the Supreme Order of Turkic World in Samarkand

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was presented with the Supreme Order of Turkic World in Samarkand in recognition of his services to the Turkic world.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan presented the Supreme Order of Turkic World to President Erdoğan at a ceremony at the Eternal City Convention Center.

“You have played a major role in the Organization of Turkic States. You have contributed significantly to the strategic cooperation among the Turkic states, cooperation among the Turkic people, and the activities of the Turkic States. In recognition of your efforts and contributions, we as the Organization of Turkic States are conferring the Supreme Order of Turkic World on you,” President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan said.

“I am greatly honored to be presented with the Supreme Order of Turkic World,” President Erdoğan said.

“On behalf of myself and my nation, I would like to extend my most heartfelt gratitude to you, to all my friends, brothers and sisters. As the Turkic world, we are stronger today than yesterday. Our family council, whose essence is our unity at heart, has become an international organization with solid foundations which surely and firmly marches towards the future. We have an unwavering will for integration in all areas regarding our citizens’ lives, from economy to healthcare, from sports to culture, from politics to trade.”

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK TO BOOST OUR ORGANIZATION’S INTERNATIONAL PRESTIGE”

Noting that the organization’s international profile was constantly rising, President Erdoğan thanked all who contributed to the progress of the Organization of Turkic States, which is a product of joint efforts and commitments.

“I wholeheartedly believe that we will overcome the current difficulties and challenges through our joint efforts. I especially would like to thank my brother, President Mirziyoyev, who is hosting the event. It has been an exceptional organization. The hospitality has been excellent,” President Erdoğan said.

Wishing success to Kazakhstan, who will assume the duty in the upcoming period, President Erdoğan said: “I see we will achieve the same success in Kazakhstan and we will march towards the future.

Praising Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s achievements in Karabakh in the past 2 years, President Erdoğan said: “On many occasions, I attended the ceremonies over there and personally witnessed the progress. Seeing the developments on site made me proud as a Turk.”

“We are seeing significant changes and transformation in Uzbekistan in infrastructure and superstructure, which make us proud. A new period in Kazakhstan with President Tokayev. I believe President Japarov will maintain the same success as a young leader. I also would like to thank my brother, Prime Minister Viktor Orban, for serving a bridge between Europe and the Turkic world as an observer state,” President Erdoğan said.

Congratulating Prime Minister Orban for his fight for democracy within the EU, President Erdoğan said: “Prime Minister Orban is putting up a significant struggle. We have all been there. They have stalled us for 52 years, and are still doing the same thing. However, we will give the necessary response when needed. Let me note that here as well. Surely, this award places a great responsibility on me. I am, we are determined to continue our efforts to strengthen the solidarity between our peoples, to improve relations between our states, and to further boost the international prestige of our organization.”
