President Erdoğan, President Abbas of Palestine talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine.

The call addressed the Israeli attacks on Gaza and the latest situation.

Noting that Israel's decision to take all of Gaza under military control can never be accepted, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye continues its diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the region.

Describing the statements by France, the UK and Canada that they might recognize the State of Palestine as valuable, President Erdoğan pointed to the increasing criticism of Israel in the West, and said that Türkiye will continue to work for the establishment of lasting peace and tranquility in the region by standing by Palestine.
