President Erdoğan, President Al-Sharaa of the Syrian Arab Republic talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone withPresident Ahmad Al-Sharaa of the Syrian Arab Republic.

During the call, the latest developments in Syria following Israel’s attacks were discussed. Stating Israel’s attacks on Syria are unacceptable, President Erdoğan expressed that Israeli aggression poses a threat to the entire region, and that Türkiye will continue to support the Syrian people as it has done so far.

President Erdoğan also noted that Türkiye welcomes the ceasefire reached with the Druze in Syria.

President Al-Sharaa expressed his gratitude to President Erdoğan for Türkiye’s support in preserving Syria’s political unity, ensuring territorial integrity, and upholding its sovereignty.
