President Erdoğan, President Aoun of Lebanon talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon.

The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Lebanon, as well as regional issues.

Underlining that Türkiye has always defended Lebanon's stability and sovereignty, President Erdoğan highlighted the two countries' great potential in the spheres of trade and investment.

President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye always stands ready to participate in international mechanisms to support Lebanon's security.

President Erdoğan also voiced that Türkiye expects a stance from Lebanon that protects the Turkish Cypriots' rights and interests.

Noting that Türkiye will maintain its support for the great change in Syria to contribute to regional stability, President Erdoğan underscored that we reject Israel's aggressive attitude toward Lebanon.
