President Erdoğan, President Emmanuel Macron of France talk over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Emmanuel Macron of France.

The call addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and France, as well as regional and global matters.

Stressing Türkiye's ongoing efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and to achieve a just and lasting peace, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye, as a country that has managed to bring the warring parties to the negotiation table several times, could provide a contribution to peace talks, including serving as a host to them. President Erdoğan also emphasized the importance of initiating a negotiation process that does not exclude either of the two conflicting countries.

President Erdoğan noted that the plan to relocate Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan or any other third country is unacceptable.

President Erdoğan and President Macron, as the leaders of two NATO ally countries, agreed to work in a more coordinated manner in the coming period.
