President Erdoğan, President Sánchez of Government of Spain talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Pedro Sánchez of the Government of Spain.

The call addressed the Türkiye-Spain bilateral relations as well as regional and global matters. 

President Erdoğan stated that meaningful steps were taken to secure a two-state solution in Palestine during this year’s session of the United Nations General Assembly. 

Noting that every action of the Israeli government shows its reluctance for peace, President Erdoğan stressed that Netanyahu must be prevented from sabotaging the peace. 

President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye will continue its efforts for the cessation of Israeli aggression in Gaza and for unhindered delivery of aid to Gaza.   

Expressing appreciation for Mr. Sánchez’s sensitivity regarding the Global Sumud Flotilla, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye is closely following the situation.
