President Erdoğan, President Stubb of Finland talk over phone
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Alexander Stubb of Finland.
The call addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Finland, as well as regional and global matters.
President Erdoğan stated during the meeting that they are making efforts to increase the bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Finland and aim to advance the relations further through the steps to be taken.
Noting that Türkiye is striving for the successful completion of the peace process between Ukraine and Russia, President Erdoğan emphasized that the Istanbul talks constitute a proven and functional diplomatic platform.
President Erdoğan underlined that Türkiye is closely following the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza, that lasting peace in the region is only possible through a two-state solution, and that Finland’s recognition of the State of Palestine would be welcomed.
