President Erdoğan, President Zelenskyy of Ukraine talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.

The call addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Ukraine, as well as regional and global issues.

During the call, President Erdoğan emphasized the significance of the will to resume direct talks between Russia and Ukraine and said that Türkiye stands ready to provide the necessary support at every stage of the process.

President Erdoğan voiced their pleasure at hosting the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Türkiye on the occasion ofpeace negotiations.

President Erdoğan noted that a comprehensive ceasefire would provide the necessary atmosphere for initiating peace negotiations and emphasized the necessity not to miss this window of opportunity.
