President Erdoğan, Prime Minister Starmer of the United Kingdom talk over phone

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom.

The call addressed the Türkiye-UK bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.

President Erdoğan said the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical level, and that doing beyond raising a voice against the developments is a duty towards humanity.

President Erdoğan added that Türkiye constantly sends humanitarian aid to Gaza, and supports ceasefire negotiations and mediators’ efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.

Drawing attention to the importance of the steps that will push Israel for a ceasefire and two-state solution, President Erdoğan congratulated UK Prime Minister Starmer on his statements on the recognition of the Palestinian State.
