President Erdoğan receives a delegation of artists and representatives of film industry 

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received a delegation of artists and representatives of film industry at the Presidential Complex.

Attending the reception, at which Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Ersoy was also present, were producers Birol Güven, Şükrü Avşar, Timur Savcı, Cemal Okan, Muzaffer Yıldırım, Çağrı Özeren, Necati Akpınar, Fatih Aksoy, Kerem Çatay, Mehmet Bozdağ, Serdar Öğretici, Raci Şaşmaz, Şükrü Erol Avcı, Elif Dağdeviren and Bahadır Özdener; actor and producer Şahan Gökbakar; directors Onur Tan and Mahzun Kırmızıgül; actors Bülent İnal, Burak Özçivit, Oktay Kaynarca, Ata Demirer, Tamer Karadağlı, Şoray Uzun and Demet Akbağ; and producer, director and actor Yılmaz Erdoğan.

“FILMS THAT REFLECT THE TURKISH CULTURE AND HISTORY SHOULD BE MADE MORE FREQUENTLY”

Pointing out during the reception that the film industry needs to become much stronger globally, President Erdoğan underlined that films that reflect the Turkish culture and history should be made more frequently. A leap forward needs to be taken in the area of culture and arts, the President further stressed, adding that they, as state officials, do what falls to them regarding the film industry, and will continue to do so.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Ersoy, for his part, noted that the workshops will continue to be held, and that solutions for the problems of the film industry will be produced at the same pace.
