President Erdoğan receives Kızılay President Kınık and IFRC Secretary General Chapagain

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) President Kerem Kınık and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Secretary General Jagan Chapagain.

The meeting in Istanbul addressed humanitarian relief activities for refugees, particularly the Syrians hosted by Türkiye and neighboring countries, as well as efforts aimed at making Istanbul a logistics hub of the world in humanitarian aid.  

President Erdoğan stated that the IFRC and the international community should lend stronger support to Türkiye’s efforts for the voluntary return home of the Syrians.

Kızılay President Kınık and IFRC Secretary General Chapagain thanked President Erdoğan for bringing up refugees’ sufferings at all platforms and carrying out humanitarian aid activities.
