President Erdoğan’s Message on Rosh Hashanah

 

Following is the message President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued on Rosh Hashanah:

“I congratulate our Jewish citizens on Rosh Hashanah, which marks the beginning of the new Jewish year according to the Hebrew calendar.

Our august people has for ages considered the cultural, political and social diversities on these lands, the symbol of the culture of love and tolerance, to be the most important asset that strengthens their unity and solidarity.

Special days when our citizens of different faiths keep their own culture and traditions alive add color to our social life and conduce to the further strengthening of our ancient friendship and solidarity.

With these thoughts in mind, I wish peace for all Jews, our citizens in particular, on Rosh Hashanah, one of Judaism’s major religious holidays.”
