President Erdoğan’s message on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People
President Erdoğan said, "The Gaza genocide must be punished in accordance with international law. Without a fair resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli issue, lasting peace and stability in the Middle East will remain out of reach."
In a statement shared on his social media account to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, President Erdoğan reaffirmed his unwavering support, both personally and on behalf of the Turkish nation, for the rightful cause of the Palestinian people, who have endured oppression, occupation, persecution, and genocide.
Highlighting the urgent need for sufficient, safe, and uninterrupted humanitarian aid to Gaza—where 50,000 innocent Palestinians, the majority of them women and children, have been martyred—President Erdoğan stated:
"To date, Türkiye has sent 86,000 tons of humanitarian aid to our Palestinian brothers and sisters. As winter approaches, we are intensifying our efforts to provide continued assistance to those in need. The Gaza genocide must be punished in accordance with international law. Without a fair resolution to the Palestine-Israel issue, lasting peace and stability in the Middle East will remain out of reach. The establishment of an independent, sovereign and geographically integrated Palestinian State within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is indispensable for achieving a fair and lasting peace in the region."
President Erdoğan emphasised Türkiye's willingness to take on any necessary responsibilities to achieve a comprehensive solution and establish a just, lasting peace. He also emphasised that Türkiye's steadfast support for the oppressed Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle would continue with unwavering determination and strength.
