President Erdoğan’s statement on the ceasefire in Gaza

 

President Erdoğan: "We welcome the conclusion of the ceasefire negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas and Israel."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account regarding the ceasefire in Gaza.

In his post, President Erdoğan said:

"We welcome the conclusion of the ceasefire negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas and Israel. We hope that the deal will be auspicious for our Palestinian brothers and sisters, our region, and all of humanity, paving the way for lasting peace and stability. We salute the heroic people and valiant sons and daughters of Gaza who courageously defended their homeland and freedom in the face of Israel's unlawful and inhumane attacks.

As Türkiye, we have never left our Palestinian brothers and sisters alone in their fight against oppression and oppressors. Inshallah, we will stand by the people of Gaza and mobilise all of our means to help them heal their wounds and get back on their feet. On this occasion, I remember with mercy all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the land of Gaza, and I wish that the cease-fire deal will be auspicious."
