President Erdogan shared a post regarding Israel's attacks on Lebanon

 

In his social media post, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasised the need to stop Israel from spreading its "politics of insanity" from Gaza and Ramallah to Lebanon and other regional countries.

President Erdoğan made the following remarks in his post:

"Since October 7, Lebanon and its people have become the latest targets of Israel's policy of genocide, occupation, and invasion. Many Lebanese, including children, have been killed in the previous week as a result of Israel's merciless attacks. No one with a conscience can tolerate, excuse, or justify such an atrocity. The more arms and ammunition the spoilt Israeli government receives from the countries that support its atrocities, the more heedless it becomes, defying all of humanity, humanitarian values, and international law."

The efforts by Israel to spread its "politics of insanity" from Gaza and Ramallah to Lebanon and other countries in the region need to be stopped, said President Erdoğan, adding:

"We urge every organisation with the responsibility of maintaining global peace, stability, and security, especially the United Nations Security Council, in addition to all human rights organisations, to act promptly. We maintain that the Islamic world needs to adopt a more decisive stance to these atrocities. We, as Türkiye, will persist in our support of the Lebanese people and government during these challenging times. I once again condemn Israel's inhumane attacks on Lebanon and extend my wishes for Allah's mercy to all our Lebanese brothers and sisters who passed on as a result of the attacks, as well as for a swift recovery to the injured."
