President Erdoğan: Some still seek to surround us with a terror corridor by giving out thousands of truckloads of weapons
President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during a campaign rally in the province of Muş in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.

Underlining that there is no difference between the struggle waged on these lands a century and the one being waged now in Syria, Iraq and the Mediterranean, President Erdoğan said: “Whatever we fought for 104 years ago in Çanakkale, we are giving our all for the same cause now as well. Even if we think differently, some others still keep looking at history and plotting to take revenge and turn Istanbul into Constantinople. Some still begrudge us our lands of 780 thousand square kilometers. Some still work to create deep chasms between Turks and Kurds, Arabs and Circassians, Sunnis and Alawites. Some still seek to surround us with a terror corridor and squeeze us into Anatolia by giving out thousands of truckloads of weapons.”
Drawing attention to economy-related schemes aimed at halting Turkey’s rise, President Erdoğan stated that there are those who cannot come to terms with the unity and solidarity among the Turkish people, and said: “Since they cannot dare to confront us bravely, they give their messages through Syria, Iraq, Qandil, Pennsylvania and the European Parliament or from 16.5 thousand kilometers far away.”
TL11.5 BILLION WORTH OF INVESTMENT IN MUŞ IN 17 YEARS
Stressing that they have worked to serve all the 81 provinces of Turkey on an equal footing without making any discrimination due to ethnic identities, President Erdoğan pointed to the TL11.5 billion worth of investment made in Muş over the past 17 years in a wide range of areas including education, healthcare, construction and transportation, and added: “No matter who says what, we allow no boundary to our love and no stain on our eternal fraternity. No matter what schemes they plot, we don’t allow anyone to drive a wedge between us.”
