President Erdoğan: The global order is in need of a new restructuring built upon justice
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening session of the Kuala Lumpur Summit in Malaysia.
Stating that he highlighted, at all the platforms he took part in in recent years, the problems afflicting mankind and Muslims, President Erdoğan renewed his call that the global order is in need of a new restructuring built upon justice and fairness, and said: “The order, which was created by the victors of the Second World War to protect their own interests and which abandons the fate of the Islamic world of 1.7 billion population to the whim of the five permanent members of the Security Council, has already come to the end of its life span.”
“WE HAVE UNDERTAKEN MANY PROJECTS TO STRENGTHEN OUR COOPERATION”
Underlining that the discussions at those platforms are not held just for the sake of discussing but to identify the problems, take decisions and implement them, President Erdoğan added: “We have worked to protect the honor of Al-Quds and Palestine in the face of Israeli administration’s harassments that know no law. We have taken action against every unlawful act anywhere, from Turkistan to Arakan, from Yemen to Libya and Syria. We have undertaken many projects to unleash our potential, boost our trade, speed up our economic development and strengthen our cooperation in technology and finance.”
Also drawing attention to the fight conducted against all terrorist organizations without any distinction and to the achievements scored in the war on such terrorist organizations as DAESH and PKK/YPG, President Erdoğan stressed the importance of trade in national currencies in terms of the consolidation of economic independence and added that the efforts will continue in the faith that “Muslims are brothers and sisters”.
Following the opening session, which he attended with First Lady Emine Erdoğan, President Erdoğan participated in a round-table meeting on the priority of development and challenges.
Later on, President Erdoğan, together with King of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani and Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, visited the exhibition area of the Kuala Lumpur Summit.
Afterwards, the First Couple attended the luncheon hosted by King of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in honor of the participants of the KL Summit.
