President Erdoğan: The houses to be built by TOKİ will be a new manifestation of the friendship between Turkey and Albania
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed via videoconference the groundbreaking ceremony of the 522 houses to be built in Albania by the Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ).
Recalling the four truckloads of aid delivered to Albania by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) following the earthquake on September 21, President Erdoğan, underscoring that the coronavirus pandemic the construction works of the houses begun after the signing of the necessary memorandum of understanding last July, noted: “And today, with the participation of our Minister of Environment and Urbanization we are holding the groundbreaking ceremony of these houses which will inshallah turn into warm homes for our Albanian brothers and sisters.”
Expressing his wish that the project, which consists of a total of 522 houses and will cost nearly 42 million Euros, will lead to auspicious results, President Erdoğan said: “These houses will be a new manifestation of the friendship between Turkey and Albania. We will inshallah complete the first phase of the houses as soon as possible and start to deliver them to our brothers and sisters who lost their homes in the earthquake.”
Also referring to the speech made by Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania at the ceremony, President Erdoğan voiced his belief that the wounds caused by the quake will be healed as soon as possible with especially the contributions to be made by Prime Minister Rama in this process.
