"The terror traps set up along borders and attacks on our economy or other obstacles cannot prevent us from achieving our goals"
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens in Konya.
Pointing to the uninterrupted period of four years awaiting Turkey, President Erdoğan, in reference to the goals Turkey pursues for 2023, the centenary of the Republic, said: “The terror traps set up along borders and attacks on our economy or other obstacles cannot prevent us from achieving our goals. Those who couldn’t gain sway over us, our country, are now attacking our unity and solidarity with all their strength.”
Later in the day, President Erdoğan attended a dinner hosted by the Justice and Development (AK) Party’s Konya branch. Describing the developments in Syria and the eastern Mediterranean as a matter of survival for Turkey, President Erdoğan underlined that Turkey cannot be a mere onlooker to incidents that concern Syria and the eastern Mediterranean. Referring to Turkey’s ongoing fight against terror, President Erdoğan stated that the operations Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield have substantially contributed to the security of Turkish citizens, with Turkey now determined to clear the nests of terror from east of the Euphrates, as well.
