President Erdoğan: The Turkish Armed Forces, with its countless victories, is a source of pride for our nation
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed troops participating in the Sea Wolf 2021 exercise via videoconference from Zonguldak.
Wishing the troops success, President Erdoğan said: “I welcome our guests from the armed forces of the friendly and brotherly countries who came to Turkey to watch the exercise.”

“I believe the exercise will further enhance the knowledge, capabilities, coordination and motivation of the personnel of the Naval Forces Command,” President Erdoğan said. “The Turkish Armed Forces, with its organizational structure dating back over 2200 years, its institutional culture and countless victories, is a source of pride for our nation. Our gallant military, with its supreme sense of mission, is making all kinds of sacrifices, as has always been the case, in order to ensure the security of our homeland, our blue homeland, our skies and our 84 million citizens.”
Underlining that the Turkish Armed Forces, with its discipline, capabilities, deterrent force and determination, was one of the best equipped militaries in the world in terms of combat readiness, President Erdoğan said: “We have recently had a chance to see the capabilities of our military in all areas ranging from the Eastern Mediterranean to anti-terror operations in Iraq and Syria. Especially, the Turkish navy displayed great determination in protecting the rights and interests of our nation and the Turkish Cypriots. In all the exercises we conducted this year, particularly the Blue Homeland and the Sea Wolf exercises, our Naval Forces Command achieved great accomplishments that inspired confidence to our friends and fear to our foes. With the Sea Wolf 2021 exercise, we will inshallah take our success to the next level.”
“We will continue to strengthen the Turkish Armed Forces”
“During this exercise, we have tested the effectiveness of our indigenous weapons systems, ships, planes, unmanned aerial and sea vehicles. We have also improved the interoperability among our various forces. Therefore we have had the opportunity to observe and assess the capabilities of our glorious military, which is the apple of our eye, and to make up for any shortcomings, if there is any, in a short time,” President Erdoğan said.
“Strong military, strong Turkey. With this belief, we will continue to support and strengthen the Turkish Armed Forces, as has been the case for the past 19 years. The Sea Wolf 2021 exercise, which started on May 25 and will end in June 6, is the epitome of our will to do so,” President Erdoğan underlined.
