President Erdoğan: TOKI has built one million earthquake-resistant social housing units

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of the post-earthquake houses in the Bayraklı district of Izmir and addressed via videoconference the opening ceremony of Göztepe Stadium.

Drawing attention to the mobilization for urban transformation launched in 2012, President Erdoğan said: “TOKI has so far built one million earthquake-resistant social housing units across Turkey. Thus, we have ensured that five million brothers and sisters of ours have got their warm homes, and that tens of thousands of brothers and sisters of ours have got their new workplaces.”

Addressing via videoconference the opening ceremony of Göztepe Stadium following his speech, President Erdoğan stated that the 20,000 capacity stadium was built with an investment of 400 million liras.
