President Erdoğan: Turkey approaches step by step its goal to have adorned its 81 provinces with people’s gardens by 2023
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the “Opening Ceremony of People’s Gardens on World Environment Day.”
Expressing his pleasure over the opening of people’s gardens in Turkey’s various cities, President Erdoğan said: “I congratulate all the humanity’s June 5th World Environment Day with the understanding that it is our responsibility to safeguard the environment for the future of the youth.”
Describing people’s gardens as a source of pride with their green areas and facilities, President Erdoğan noted that Turkey approaches step by step its goal to have adorned its 81 provinces with people’s gardens by 2023.
Also touching upon Turkey’s success in battling COVID-19, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey has extended a helping hand to 102 countries besides attending to the needs of its own citizens during the pandemic. The President said: “Compassion, mercy, solidarity and love for humanity are necessary alongside physical resources to be a great state. Thanks be to Allah, during the pandemic we have shown it to the entire world that we are a great state.”
