President Erdoğan: Turkey as the spokesman for humanity’s shared yearning voices the demand for rights and justice on all platforms
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the opening ceremony of the Judicial Year 2020-2021 at Beştepe People’s Culture and Convention Center in Ankara.
“The crooked mindset that only certain societies in the world possess democracy, security and prosperity and that others have no value other than serving them has now been exposed. The demand for justice is taking root among societies in the remotest corners of the world. Turkey as the spokesman for humanity’s shared yearning voices the demand for rights and justice on all platforms. Our objection that ‘the World is bigger than 5’ which we voiced from the podium of the UN General Assembly by looking the representatives from nearly 200 countries in the eyes is the most concrete and striking examples of that,” President Erdoğan said.
“WITH EVERY STEP WE TAKE, WE AIM TO STRENGTHEN DEMOCRACY”
“The Presidential System of Government has brought about a clarity in the separation of power among the executive, legislative and judicial branches which can be seen in modern democracies,” President Erdoğan said. “Our new system of government, which does not allow any concentration of power against the national will, has enabled everyone to focus on their job. We have entered a new era in which the controversial images and practices of the coup periods have become history,” President Erdoğan noted.
Praising the continuous reforms made in Turkey in the past 18 years, President Erdoğan said: “With every step we take, we aim to strengthen democracy and further improve rights and freedoms,” President Erdoğan underlined.
