President Erdoğan: Turkey being powerful means a secure and peaceful life for our brothers and sisters across this region

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during a campaign rally in the province of Düzce in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.

“EACH VOTE THAT IS NOT CAST IS NO DIFFERENT FROM PLAYING INTO THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO SCHEME AGAINST THE COUNTRY”

Stressing the importance of the upcoming local elections, President Erdoğan urged citizens to cast their votes, and stated: “Citizens who don’t cast their votes should know that they will be abandoning their will to the mercy of those who cast their votes on Sunday. Each vote that is not cast is no different from playing into the hands of those who scheme against the country.”

Describing ballot boxes as a symbol of honor in the history of Turkish democracy, President Erdoğan expressed his belief that the elections on Sunday will see a record-breaking voter turnout.

Further stressing that Turkey is more than its homeland of 780 thousand square kilometers, President Erdoğan continued: “Turkey is a country considered to be a homeland not only by our own citizens but also by people from all over our region extending from the Balkans to the Caucasia and from Crimea to North Africa. Turkey being powerful means a secure and peaceful life for our brothers and sisters across this region.”
