President Erdoğan: Turkey continues to write success stories despite difficult conditions
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed via videoconference the extended meeting of the party’s provincial heads.
Noting that the great transformation the world was going through also scaled up their responsibilities, President Erdoğan said: “On this path we walk with the support of more than half of our people, we have a responsibility to guide our country through a historic crossroads.”
“THE GREATEST REFORM NEWS OF THE RECENT ERA IS OUR PROPOSAL TO DRAFT A NEW AND CIVILIAN CONSTITUTION”
The greatest reform news of the recent era is our proposal to draft a new and civilian constitution,” President Erdoğan said. “We call on all segments from political parties to civil society organizations, from trade associations to academics, from media to the business world, to offer constructive contributions to this process.”
“Inshallah, we will introduce an inclusive, clear, democratic and liberal constitution which will guide Turkey’s march in the next century,” President Erdoğan said.
TURKEY GREW BY 1.8 PERCENT IN 2020”
Highlighting his determination to develop and strengthen Turkey, President Erdoğan said: “In recent days, Turkey’s growth rate in 2020 was announced to be 1.8 percent. Turkey is among the few countries which continued to grow during a year of global health crisis. The fact that Turkey grew by 4.8 per cent in agriculture, by 2.8 percent in service industry and 2 percent in industry demonstrates that we have a balanced and strong infrastructure. Similarly, our export volume in February has surpassed $16 billion and export-to-import ratio has neared 83 percent. With our steps towards controlled normalization, the negative impacts of our anti-pandemic measures have begun to dissipate.”
Underscoring that Turkey continued to write success stories despite difficult conditions, President Erdoğan said: “Inshallah, we will achieve our country’s goals and realize our nation’s dreams by joining hands and hearts.”
