President Erdoğan: Turkey does not need anyone’s permission to protect its national interests

President and Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at a campaign rally in the province of Tokat in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.

“WE WILL ENABLE SYRIAN REFUGEES TO RETURN TO THEIR HOMELAND WITH THEIR MINDS AT PEACE”

“Today, Turkey does not need anyone’s permission to protect its national interests,” President Erdoğan underscored, adding that it gives no respite to world’s deadliest terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq, and is capable of conducting all kinds of operations with its own weapons, ammunition, soldiers, police forces and intelligence units.

“We will enable Syrian refugees to return to their homeland with their minds at peace by establishing safe zones,” President Erdoğan further stressed, noting that more than 311 thousand Syrian refugees have returned to the areas cleared of terror through operations Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield, and added that 500 thousand Syrians desire to return to Manbij alone once it is made secure.
