President Erdoğan: Turkey has enshrined itself in the hearts across the world as the guardian of the oppressed and the advocate of justice
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens during AK Party’s provincial congress and an opening ceremony in Malatya.
Regarding French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks on Islam, President Erdoğan noted that President Macron has recently been obsessed with him day and night, and said: “I already told yesterday in Kayseri. This is a case and therefore he really needs to have checks. And there is a so-called parliamentarian in the Netherlands. He has also been doing things about us. First, know your place. Have you ever asked yourself with whom you are walking? You shall know your place. Fascism is not in our book, it is in your book. We saw fascism in Germany, we saw fascism in Italy. We saw Nazism. You walked with them but there is neither fascism nor Nazism in our book. We have social justice in our book and we are walking with social justice.”

Drawing attention to the ongoing preparations aimed at establishing a terror state east of the Euphrates, President Erdoğan noted that Turkey is being sought to be excluded from the region with slanders and accusations despite its expectations that it would rather be supported given the fact that it stands by the legitimate government in Libya. “We are in Libya at the invitation of our brothers and the legitimate government there. We are in Syria at the invitation of the Syrian people,” the President said.
Stating that Turkey’s countermoves against injustice and unlawfulness in the Eastern Mediterranean encountered obstructive attempts reaching the level of threats, President Erdoğan said: “We have been accused just because we stand by our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters who defend their own lands in the Caucasus. And now I hear that some Americans call my brother Ilham and say, ‘We know who takes sides with you. It is Erdoğan, it is Turkey. We impose sanctions on Turkey, if need be.’ You don’t know whom you are dealing with. Whatever your sanctions are, don’t be late to impose them. We took steps for F-35s and paid the money, but you didn’t give them. You don’t give them and you threatened us. You said, ‘Send the S-400s back to Russia.’ We are not a tribal state. We are Turkey.”

Stressing that Turkey has been put on the target board since it exposes the rising racism and Islamophobia in Europe, President Erdoğan said that those, who owe their wealth to colonialism, their security to their history of massacres, and their peace to the democracy and liberty discourse which they use only for their own interests, are not pleased with Turkey’s honorable stance. The President stated: “We already have no such goal as to please them. Our only goal is to properly fulfill the responsibilities placed on our shoulders by our faith and history. Thanks be to Allah, we have thus far not committed any fault or negligence that would disgrace our nation in any matter from the fight against terror to our cross-border operations, nor will we. Turkey, today, has enshrined itself in the hearts across the world as the guardian of the oppressed and the advocate of justice. We will continue to fulfill our responsibilities in the future as well. And the way to achieving this is through growing stronger in every area both for our own selves and for our friends.”
