President Erdoğan: Turkey has rapidly improved its educational infrastructure
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of Ankara Governorate’s educational facilities, held at Beştepe Nation’s Convention and Culture Center.
“We have allocated the lion’s share to education in all the budgets we prepared in the past 18 years. In 2002, the education budget was merely TL7.5 billion. In 2021, this number rose to TL147 billion. When we include higher education, our education budget surpasses TL211 billion,” President Erdoğan said.
“Turkey ranks first among the countries that have developed and renewed their educational infrastructure in the most rapid manner possible in the past 18 years. In the past, we used to admire other countries’ educational conditions. Now, numerous countries take our educational means as a model,” President Erdoğan noted.
Recalling that they have gradually started face-to-face education following the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, President Erdoğan noted that they would continue to take further steps in relation to the decline in that number.
