President Erdoğan: Turkey’s greatest leap in democracy and development took place during our administration
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of Bismil Plain Agricultural Irrigation Facilities, 30 Factories in Diyarbakır Textile OIZ, 4th Automotive Site, and Other newly-completed projects.
Announcing that Diyarbakır Prison would soon be turned into a culture center, President Erdoğan said: “The Ministry of Justice is making the necessary preparations. By doing so, we will have removed a bad memory in Diyarbakır.”
“We turned this region into the cradle of our civilization together. We founded and supported this country together. Inshallah, we will achieve our goals for 2023 and vision for 2053 together,” President Erdoğan said. “Turkey’s greatest leap in democracy and development took place during our administration. We invested 5-10 times as much money in our 81 provinces as had been made during the Republican Era and made huge strides in our country.”
“WE INVESTED TL46 BILLION IN DIYARBAKIR IN THE PAST 10 YEARS”
Underlining that TL46 billion was invested in Diyarbakır in the past 10 years, President Erdoğan said: “In education, we built 6,207 new classrooms in Diyarbakır. We increased the housing capacity of our higher education dormitories to 5,300. We inaugurated 42 sports facilities, including the Diyarbakır Stadium which has 33 thousand seats.”
Noting that 7 youth centers which served 248,000 people were built, President Erdoğan said: “We transferred TL11.7 billion social assistance to our citizens in need in Diyarbakır. In healthcare, we built 48 medical facilities, including 19 hospitals with 1,442 beds. We will swiftly complete the ongoing construction of 7 more facilities and open them to our people’s service.”
