President Erdoğan: Turkey stands strong thanks to the sacrifices of its veterans and martyrs

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated the police headquarters building in Ankara.
Making a speech at the inauguration, President Erdoğan noted that members of the Turkish National Police, shoulder to should with citizens, fought and achieved victory against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO)-member putschists on the night of July 15, 2016.
“On behalf of my country and my nation, I once again extend my gratitude to all the heroes who resisted FETO’s treachery and attacks that night here at the Ankara police headquarters,” said President Erdoğan, and continued: “These lands, on which we breathe and live freely, have been entrusted to us by our martyrs and veterans. These lands, in every inch of which a lion rests, are also the largest cemetery of martyrs in the world. Today, Turkey stands strong thanks to the sacrifices of its veterans and martyrs – as was the case in the past.”
