President Erdoğan: Turkey to close Q3 with strong economic growth thanks to leading data for September
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed an economic council meeting of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in the capital Ankara.
“PRODUCTION AND EXPORT MUST BE FOCUSED ON IN A MUCH STRONGER MANNER”
Underscoring that the world has entered a new era, President Erdoğan, noting that production, investment, employment and export must be focused on in a much stronger manner from now on, said: “As Turkey, we left behind 18 years which was full of reforms and successes and during which we put sustainable growth at the heart of our policies. With the understanding of all-out development, we provided services that reached each home and each citizen in all of the 81 provinces of ours. With the understanding of free market economy, we developed and strengthened our country through transparent and predictable policies based on competition. We attached special importance to being in consultation with every segment of the society, as we are doing today. The greatest democracy and development initiative in Turkey’s history began during our term. As is known, we increased our national income from $236 billion to $950 billion and our export from $36 billion to $152 billion.”

Drawing attention to the healthcare system and healthcare investments they have introduced over the past 18 years, President Erdoğan said: “City hospitals, whose values we have better understood during the pandemic, and our comprehensive general health insurance system are per se a success story.”
Underscoring that due to the transformation process caused by the pandemic, a new era has been entered in Turkey as well, together with the world, and said: “Our country is shown as one of the rising centers of investment, production and trade.”

“We will continue to provide the most suitable conditions in every sense to domestic and international investors,” President Erdoğan stated.
Pointing out that they are aware of the problems caused by the pandemic, President Erdoğan said that as the state they endeavor to decrease those problems by using all the means, and added: “We will inshallah overcome all these problems and remember these days with a bitter smile next year. We know that we have a great responsibility, but our confidence in our people, our energy, our enthusiasm and our determination are greater than that. We have brought our country to today’s level of regional and global leadership together with you. And, we will inshallah overcome all the problems we are faced with together with you as well, and achieve all together our goal of great and strong Turkey.”
