President Erdoğan: Turkey welcomes with open arms all the oppressed regardless of ethnicity

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during a campaign rally in the province of Ağrı in the run-up to the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.
“THE WAY TO PROSPERITY IN TURKEY IS THROUGH UNITY AND SOLIDARITY”
Drawing attention to the TL12 billion worth of investment made in Ağrı over the past 17 years in a wide range of areas including education, healthcare, transportation, energy and agriculture, President Erdoğan highlighted their plans to make Ağrı a hub for husbandry in Turkey as well as one of the main textile production centers of the entire region.
Stressing that they will not stop working until Ağrı achieves its goals, President Erdoğan said: “The way to peace, prosperity and strength in Turkey is through unity, solidarity and brotherhood. Whoever attacks our unity aims to destroy our children’s and our own future. Whoever attacks our brotherhood aims to raze to the ground our country and nation, just like we see in the examples around us.”
TURKEY WELCOMES WITH OPEN ARMS ALL THE OPPRESSED REGARDLESS OF ETHNICITY
Underlining that they opened their doors to the innocent and downtrodden people who took refuge in Turkey regardless of their race or religion, President Erdoğan noted that they hosted in Turkey 300 thousand Kurds from Kobane, and said: “This state is the common state of us all. We didn’t ask the millions of people, who fled from persecution to Turkey, about their origin or ethnicity. We just looked into whether those, who came to our borders, were downtrodden and innocent. We didn’t make any analysis to find out whether the wounded we brought from Syria to Turkey by ambulances were Kurd, Arab or Turkmen. We welcomed them all with open arms and healed their wounds.”
