President Erdoğan: Turkey will be one of the outstanding countries in the post-pandemic world

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference following the meeting of the Presidential Cabinet at the Presidential Complex.

Stating that many issues, including healthcare, security, industry and export, were discussed during the meeting, President Erdoğan, underscoring that Turkey is one of the countries which have most successfully coped with the pandemic, noted: “Our aim is to reduce both the number of cases and deaths to zero or to a point close to zero. We are determined to take our country away from the risk group.”

Further stressing that Iraq is one of the countries which have been affected by the coronavirus the most, President Erdoğan said that an aid package will be sent to Iraqis, particularly to the Turkmens living in Iraq, and added: “Turkey, thus, will once again show that it stands with its neighbors, friends and its brothers and sisters.”

Pointing to the increasing number of cases and deaths in the North and South America as well as in Asia, President Erdoğan noted: “The continuation of the pandemic makes it difficult for us as the country to see ahead of us, too. Nevertheless, the common view at home and abroad is that Turkey will be one of the outstanding countries in the world that will be reshaped after the pandemic.”
