President Erdoğan: Türkiye determinedly marches towards its goals
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the commencement and flag handover ceremony at the Naval and Air War Colleges.
Recalling that he shared the graduation joy of cadets at the Army War College yesterday in Ankara, President Erdoğan said: “And now we are here today to witness the graduation joy of cadets at the Naval and Air War Colleges. I congratulate the 269 Turkish and 6 guest cadets graduating from the Naval War College and the 273 and 13 guest cadets from the Air War College.”
Pointing out that the National Defense University has been very successful in terms of both redressing the shortcomings caused by the July 15 coup attempt and raising the quality in training to modern standards, President Erdoğan stated: “Our marines, following Barbaros’ lead, defend our country’s interests wherever they are assigned including at the Mediterranean, the Aegean and the Black Sea and elevate the legacy entrusted to them by the nation. Likewise, the Air Forces, which suffered the most from the July 15 treason, got better in a short span of time and consolidated our presence in the air. 111 F-16 pilots have completed training at the National Defense University so far. And over 100 graduates are about to complete pilotage training as well.”
“TÜRKİYE HAS REACHED A POSITION WHEREBY IT IS CAPABLE OF PROMOTING ITS INTERESTS”
Underscoring that Türkiye will achieve its goals despite the presence of pro-tutelage circles that have no confidence in their country and nation, President Erdoğan said: “We are no longer a country for which a direction can be set through plots contrived over political and social fault lines. We are no longer a country whose economy can be put under shackles and exploited easily through trickery. We are no longer a country that looks at other countries’ capabilities with envy. That is so because Türkiye, having gained political and economic freedom and having reached a position whereby it is capable of promoting its interests thanks to the moves it has made, is now a country that determinedly marches towards its goals.”
