President Erdoğan: Türkiye has the most comprehensive and modern development infrastructure among the developed and developing countries

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed via videoconference the opening ceremony of Pirinkayalar Tunnel.

Noting that the Pirinkayalar Tunnel, located on the Erzurum-Artvin road, was one of the most significant elements of the project which was aimed at ensuring non-stop transportation between the Eastern Anatolian Region and the Black Sea Region, President Erdoğan said: “In addition to saving TL18 million annually, it will also reduce carbon emissions by 230 tons, and contribute to protecting the environment. As the transportation between Erzurum and Artvin, our two cities with great touristic potential, gets easier thanks to this tunnel, it will bring about new opportunities. This tunnel, which will integrate Erzurum and Artvin Airports with Artvin Port, will help ease the transit traffic from these two cities to the Caucasus.”

“WE WILL STRONGLY LAY THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR VISION FOR 2053”

Underlining that the government changed the landscape in Türkiye through investments in all areas ranging from education to healthcare, from energy to communication and transportation, President Erdoğan said: “We have planned and put into motion these investments as an infrastructure for our truly great leaps.”

“Today, Türkiye stands out from the developed and developing countries as a state which has the most comprehensive, newest and most modern development infrastructure. As the global system of government and economy is shaken to the core, and the pain of the birth of a new order is felt, Türkiye determinedly advances towards its goals with its infrastructure. We aim to make Türkiye one of the top 10 economies in the world, and ensure that our country has a more active say in the global system of government. This is the primary motive behind our efforts to rapidly develop our country in mid-tech and high-tech areas, defense industry in particular,” President Erdoğan said.

“We will not only achieve our country’s goals for 2023, but also strongly lay the foundations of our vision for 2053, which we will entrust to next generations,” President Erdoğan underlined.

Calling on every individual of the Turkish nation to join this honorable march, President Erdoğan said: “We should all take part in this endeavor by doing our jobs better; our entrepreneurs by investing more, our industrialists by producing more, our vendors by serving better, our transporters by running more shipments, our exporters by selling more products, our public servants by offering better services.”
