President Erdoğan, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres talk over phone

 

The call addressed the developments in Syria and Sudan as well as the Russia-Ukraine war.

President Erdoğan stated that the extension of the UN’s cross-border aid mechanism for Syria to July is of great importance. Noting that they attach importance to the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative as well, President Erdoğan said that they stand ready to take part with an interinstitutional delegation in the working group to be created if a consensus is reached, too, regarding ammonia pipeline.

President Erdoğan further stressed that as a country capable of establishing dialogue with both sides of the conflicts in Sudan they always stand ready to call on the parties to return to peace talks, to cooperate with the UN to resolve the disagreements between them and to host talks.
